Scootbee has been fortunate to be developed and tested rigorously in Singapore, subject to one of the world's strictest regulations for mobility devices and wonderful weather of tropical thunderstorms and humid heat. Every additional day of testing and validation gives us the confidence of implementing it overseas. So we are naturally excited when we are given the chance to work with our first overseas partner, Sunway, in Malaysia!
Established in 1974, Sunway Group is one of Malaysia’s largest conglomerates with 12 business divisions that operate across 50 locations worldwide. Sunway’s core interests are focused on real estate, construction, education, healthcare, retail, and hospitality. Powered by a 16,000 strong team, Sunway is committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and continues to align its business strategies to meet the needs of its communities in line with the SDG agenda.
Starting in August, Scootbees will be deployed at the Sunway Iskandar township as a mode of sustainable and clean transportation for residents and visitors, while tackling issues faced by shared bicycles and scooters worldwide, such as unauthorized parking, reckless riding, and low utilization rates. As Sunway Group’s largest integrated city, Sunway Iskandar is a low-density eco-development that is environmentally conscious and sensitive, responsible and committed to the preservation and conservation of nature. The innovative and resource-efficient solution offered by Scootbee is aligned with Sunway Iskandar's development as a smart sustainable township. Check out the video here!
